Hilarious parody...
...of the urban horror/fantasy genre, which usually tends to be grim and dark and ultra-serious. Lucretia was way over-the-top, but the friendship between her and Hezbeh actually felt real. The totally matter-of-fact way that they deal with the supernatural stuff going on is just great.
Will definitely watch.
Funny
This show definitely seems to poke fun at the shallower, more materialistic areas of modern-American culture. This is one of the funnier animated pilots I've seen in a while. The characters are well-written and entertaining.
A. MA. ZING! Freakin awesome!
Supa- Natural is one of the funniest shows I have seen in a long time. I love both of the characters, they are both played as stereotypical but don't let that stop you from watching. They are intelligent and know what they are doing. They know their job and they are not afraid to do it. The writing is excellent, I did not stop watching from beginning to the end; and I wanted more! The only shows that give you a sense of Supa- natural are: Archer, Drawn Together (without the pointless but funny jokes), Ugly Americans, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the series). That's not even a comprehensive list, that was just off the top of my head. In summary it is an excellent first episode and I can't wait until the rest of the series is available on Amazon Instant Video.
Cheers and Happy viewing!
