Dive to Survive [HD]

Fantastic
What a perfect mix of learning, humor and destruction. I just wish there were more seasons for prime members to watch. Lets get more season on Amazon Prime!!!

The Hits Just Keep on Coming
The teams analytical and thinking skills, plus the amount of fun they have with research, not to mention with each other, keeps me excited about science. Thank you MythBusters - keep up the awesome works!

Fun and Educational
Funny, irreverent, sarcastic, silly, and also educational. A lot of fun. It doesn't seem to matter what myth they are testing - it always turns out interesting.

Excellent
For my daughters. They love this show. Bought Season 1 as well. Hope there is a Season 3! Thank you

Love this show
I haven't opened this package because I had already watched the episodes when they originally aired on VH1. I LOVE this show, the ladies, their clothes and their swagger. I just wanted to get the series to add to my collection. Season 2 was better than Season 1. I can't wait for Season 3.

Excellent
Myth busters is my favorite show. I was very excited to see the 10th season available. The quality of the show is excellent.

I love science!
Yes, ok. It's cool watching them blow stuff up (giggles) but I do enjoy the science and movies myths too. I think this show is so popular because its not only fun and entertaining but smart too.

$1.99 per episode for 2011 season???
I can see charging for the current season, but why are the 2011 episodes not free for Amazon Prime members in 2013? Hey, it's a good show, but I ain't paying per episode for ANY show - especially 2-year old episodes! Not sure I'll renew my Amazon Prime membership next year...

This show is very informative, you could learn new tips and tricks for making useful tool from scratch. And nevertheless, you will know if a myth is for real or busted

Redemption

A bit bland
Season 1 of Nor'easter Men consists of only three episodes, which may suggest that the producers just didn't find much to work with and couldn't stretch it out beyond three episodes. There are people (and I confess to being one of them) who will watch just about anything that has boats and waves - but not necessarily indefinitely. While evidently trying to cash in on the popularity of Deadliest Catch, this one lacks the elements of near-constant danger, grueling relentless work, enormous waves and unusual characters that allows Deadliest Catch to switch focus frequently and so retain our interest. The "Nor'easter Men" are bland and appear to be trying to act, as if the director told them to be interesting, but they don't really know how. The weather isn't particularly dramatic and, even though fishing off the New England coast is a dangerous occupation, the danger is not so readily demonstrable and has to be artificially invoked because we cannot actually see it. I'll be surprised if...

Curving Bullets [HD]

Mythbusters season 7
THis season includes: Dumpster Diving, Boomerang bullet, unarmed and unharmed, antacid jailbreak, Hidden nasties, mini myth madness, Soda cup killer, Dive to survive, Spy car escape, bottle bash, no pain no gain, mythsion control, duct tape hour 2, waterslide whipeout, arrow machine gun, table cloth chaos, cold feet, hair of the dog, storm chasing myths, fireball stun gun, flu fiction, mini myth mayhem, reverse engerneering, inverted underwater car, bug special, President's challenge, green hornet special, and Operation Valkyrie as well as mythbusters top 25 moments as a bonus on hte 6th disc and a few select aftershows for some of the episodes. I got mine on the Discovery channel website which is a bit cheaper then here but buying them is worth the price they are asking here if you really want season 7 on DVD

A Great Episode! Highly Recommended!
This review is for the Mythbusters "Curving Bullets" episode. I was disapointed when I missed this episode on cable, so was happy to find it on-demand.

The myths covered here are the Curving Bullets as found here Wanted (Single-Disc Widescreen Edition) (with Kari *very pregnant*, Grant, and Tory) and Sonic Boom Braking Glass (with Jamie and Adam).

As usual, there is a good amount of humor in each of the segments and you can tell that they enjoyed shooting (pun intended) this firearm heavy episode. It was also great seeing the Blue Angel jets in the Sonic Boom episode.

I will not say what the results were for these two, but it was a very enjoyable episode.

Highly Recommended!

Science in action!
These guys and gals are brilliant, intrepid and dedicated. It seems incredible that they have made a career out of all of our superstitions and misconceptions. The best science classes ever. I love it.

To the Moon!

Excellant Series
First, I must say the ease at purchasing the entire series and having a new series land in my in-box each week by far the most efficient way to get the latest episodes a day after they air.

Next, we can review the series itself. This Discovery Channel did a great job producing this series. It details the truth of American men and their quest for liquor. Our History has had too much 'sugar' applied to it to give the assumption we are a perfect culture which is far from the truth. Mike Rowe has to be the most entertaining host in modern Television. His voice, humor, and story telling talents makes any series with his presents excellent material for your viewing pleasure.

100 proof American History
Mike Rowe & company have done an outstanding and incredibly entertaining job of showing American history as seen through the bottom of a shot glass. There are many surprising historical anecdotes regarding the American Revolution, Johnny Appleseed, Wyatt Earp, John Jacob Astor and even George Washington's (maybe) STD's! :) Never really thought about how much of our history was influenced (literally) or took place in pubs/bars and around alcohol. Mike Rowe continues to be the most down-to-earth and entertaining TV personality out there today. His singing of the original british pub song that shares a melody with our national anthem is TV gold --nine lusty maids and all! This show is definitely worth a look-see and can be best enjoyed while consuming an adult-beverage.

History made fun
Super accurate and interesting facts. Tells the story of America behind the scenes! Makes you nod your head in amazement

Torroba's Guitar

Very nice, but
I bought this to learn more about Torroba (whom I recently discovered through Ana) and to have more DVD of Ana Vidovic. It is great quality video and music. My main complaint is that there is just not more of it. It comes in at 31 minutes. It's like they just couldn't wait to end this. Even as the final credits roll and one of the pieces from Castles of Spain is playing the music cuts off and ends to black. Geez....not 5 seconds left in the budget.Just dissapointing that way. Not much from his operas either. You go to the trouble of making this and you can't fill up 15 more minutes worth of anything. But Ana is sublime as she always is. I'll probably seek out the book to learn more of Torroba..

Snooki & JWOWW: Season 1

Its a Fantasy World
It was OK. I still find it hard to believe people their age act this way and I guess that's why I watch it, because it seems so unrealistic. Sort of a fantasy world. Its so unbelievable that its funny and entertaining at times.. I cant believe their parents treat them like children. They must be supporting their parents financially to put up with them.

Crap tv
The streaming quality was great but the show itself sucks....it's trashy and a waste of time . The only good thing about it is the train wreck lives they lead

actually would be zero stars
This show is void of any worth to any human being, ever. All copies should be erased or deleted and let's all agree to forget this ever happened.

The End is Near . . .

Am. Hoggers
One of the greatest most interesting series on TV. I love that at least some people are concerned with this menace and are trying to rid this country of them. Would love to be with them.

Am. Hoggers
I absolutely love this series. I wish I could be out there with them. I love that they are helping people get rid of this giant nusiance. More teams should be organized to rid the US if this costly menace. Go gals n boys go.

Texas reality at its best!
My family loves this series, and we watch this over and over - every time we notice something new. Being a native Texan , and having family and friends that live in the same area as the Campbell family business, makes it even more real to us.

Thumbs DOWN to Discovery licensing BS
I love Mythbusters, but I hate cable TV. Apparently these two facts are in diametric opposition. Instead of just offering an easy, consistent, and reliable alternative to watching episodes as they air, Discovery sees fit to tinker with their licensing agreements every single season. I've bought passes to the last two seasons since switching from the iTunes store to Amazon and I will continue to do so. I just wish that Discovery's lawyers could get their act together! There is simply no good reason that episodes should not become available for purchase the day after they air. Other networks have NO problem with this.....

Flame Out
This mythbusters was really good. It was probably the best I've seen so far, because both teams were very creative. The trio found a way to obscure the visual camera and the thermal camera, better than in the movie myth. I also liked Jaimie's beefed up flamethrower and Adam's more powerful fire extinguisher using water. (submitted by a 9 year old megafan)

I fell 35 feet
great show and information because I fell 35 feet with out bubble rap and lived. should have died or crippled for life. Praise God!

Love the stroy line but
In anime the harem formal works well for comedies and this one delivers lots of laughs
I bought it in the instant format for Amazon prime the problem is the episodes are not in order at all
I had to go print out the proper episodes at wiki also by not ordering the DVD I missed out on the OVA episode but season 2 should be out this Fall and I will buy it also

Fun "harem" anime
This is a fun example of what some have called a "harem" story, in which a somewhat nerdy male character is surrounded by beautiful females, all vying in different ways for his attention. This story is set in an almost-all female school for learning to fight in robotic suits of armor (the infinite stratos).

By the way, the episodes are out of order. The first episode is "All My Classmates are Female,' currently numbered "5." Use the previews at the end of each episode to find the next one in order.

Teen Mom
It was worth nice not having to wait until it came on tv again. It works well for a busy schedule.

Parent - Teen viewing
I watch this with my teen girl. It is a great opportunity to visit about the topic and offer opinions. Of course, I'm well past these circumstances of the TV show, but I can easily recall how the mind looks at life at that age. I recommend it as a good tool for family sharing of interests.

Teen Mom
I love Teen Mom and this was a great season with lots of heartbreak and drama. The girls go through a lot during this season.

A Great Show for the Whole Family
Educational and entertaining. My teenaged children (boy and a girl) both love this show. Because of the varied concepts by show, it is always easy to find something all can agree upon.

Another great season
I could rate this season show by show but really I love it all. Jamie and Adam are irreplaceable as hosts. I wouldn't watch MB without them. I love when they do specials (movie myths esp.). I just love this show!

Blessing Curse or Co-incidence?

The best documentary/teaching from Lance Lambert
As the DVD cover states, this is an award-winning documentary. Lance Lambert takes the viewer through the historical implications of the Abrahamic Covenant, in which the Lord gave the Land of Israel to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob as an everlasting inheritance. Filmed in locations in Israel and other sites in the Middle East. All material is up to date, and masterfully narrated by Roger Climpson and Jonathan Settel. This is the Volume I from three-volume series. I highly recommend "Blessing, Curse or Co-incidence?" to all students of the Hebraic roots of the Christian faith, the place of the nation of Israel and the Jewish people, from both a Biblical and historical perspective. - HP

Blessing Curse or Coincidence?
The Blessing, Curse, or Coincidence video is one of the best and most thorough documentaries that I have seen about how God has planned from the very beginning of time to redeem His creation. This video takes us through the Bible, from God's promise to Adam and Eve, to Abraham, to Moses, to David - all the way into modern times from God's perspective as shown to us in the Bible and through history. It provides a very good overview of history and how God has always been working to fulfill His purposes with "the land" and His "covenant people", Israel. This video does a very good job of showing that God's Word is absolutely true; and what He promises, He will do.

Nikita: The Complete Second Season [Blu-ray]

Stronger Story Arcs And Richer Character Development Make Season Two A Rewarding And Complex Adventure
There seems to be a tendency to think that ANY TV show that we watch and like should automatically warrant a five star review rating. I have never felt that to be so and would accordingly rank the various shows I watch on a regular basis from 3-5 stars (most falling into the 4 star designation). I say this in preface to my comments about the second season of CW's ratings challenged adventure "Nikita" because it is a show that has improved substantially since its debut. I loved Season One, don't get me wrong, (largely due to the incomparable Maggie Q) but a number of elements never quite gelled for it to truly reach its potential. Some supporting characters were ill defined or underutilized, Alex's complete freedom to talk to Nikita as the plot dictated seemed awfully convenient and unbelievable, and the new recruit interactions seemed forced or took us away from the main action. But still, I tuned in every week (and just rolled my eyes every time Alex was in the empty computer...

Nikita: Best show on TV
Would highly recommend 'Nikita' to anyone looking for a fast-paced, intelligent, action-packed TV show that is enhanced by a stellar cast. I've been watching 'Nikita' since it originally aired & have totally enjoyed it. This is definitely one of the most underrated programs currently on TV.

The 2nd season has shown a lot of maturity from the 1st & has consistantly been interesting, well written, & well acted, especially by Maggie Q, who is the best part of the entire series. 'Nikita' goes beyond the typical gov't assassin/James Bond plots & story lines, & goes for a well developed story that has viewers interested in the characters, how each episode will turn out, & keeps you guessing until the end. 'Nikita' doesn't rely on cheap, gratuitous violence, nudity, or any raunchy visuals to keep viewers watching. Instead it works at being an intelligent, well crafted program that offers people what they truly want to see.

'Nikita' is one of those rare gems you find on...

Wow! Surpassed first season.
This series only seems to have that upward climb effect. I hope they keep getting better. I gave this season a 5 star mark because it well surpassed the first season with twists and turns. The writing is a lot more solid. The first season was also a good season just season two is better. I think both seasons had pivotal endings and season two was no different. Looking forward to season 3. :)

Feeding Frenzy

A Sumptuous Starz Series Looks Terrific, Has Enormous Potential, But Still Needs To Find Its Own Unique Voice
On the surface, the Starz original drama "Magic City" would seem to have everything. It's not hard to imagine the pitch when creating this adult oriented mob drama: Let's combine the period detail that works so well in "Mad Men" with the gritty gangster vibe that made "The Sopranos" such a success. I'd like to say that I made up these comparisons, but both were used in the aggressive advertising campaign that Starz used to launch the show (so clearly it's a side-by-side that they are comfortable with). But that's part of the problem. Instead of crafting a unique product to wow the audience, "Magic City" is covering some pretty familiar territory with its central themes. The primary plot points are so similar to dozens of other mob related stories that it's almost impossible not to make comparisons. Don't get me wrong, there are tons of great elements within "Magic City" and I think it has the potential (should it return) to develop into something quite grand. As of Season One,...

Love, Love, Love
I'm slightly obsessed with this era anyway, so add great storylines and JDM and I'm sold! One of the things I love most is how they've added in historical figures without actually showing them. It gives the show more mystique. If you tried to show them, the Kennedys for instance, it would be very hard to pull off so it speaks to the show's credit that they involve these characters the way they do. An amazing show and my new favorite!

Gerry Mulligan - The Age of Steam

Incredible Jazz Documentary
The Library of Congress and Artists House have produced a genuine masterpiece. The documentary "Listen" alone is so well put together I've watched it 5 times all the way through and still am not tired of seeing it. Just watching Gerry learn One Note Samba direct from it's composer Antonio Carlos Jobim years before it was a hit song in his NY apartment is worth the price alone. Historic TV footage of Gerry soloing with Lester Young, Coleman Hawkins and Billie Holiday grinning and digging what he's playing is fantastic as well. This is a wonderful momento to Gerry and his significant impact on American Music in the 20th century. A Giant for all time indeed.

Great DVD
The audio CD that comes with this is terrific, a unique set of arrangements and a unique group in Mulligan's output -- excellent writing with edgy voicings, excellent soloing, tight ensemble work. What's not to like? (Mulligan's deep musicality (as writer as well as soloist) is too often overlooked.) Here, you get the history of jazz up to 1971 without the lecture. Brookmeyer is as intelligent here as ever, Jimmy Cleveland, and Kenny Shroyer (nice bass bone), Bud Shank, Tom Scott, Ernie Watts Roger Kellaway, Howard Roberts, Emil Richards, John Guerin, all tip-top; also Roger Bobo and Joe Porcaro. And Sweets gets a nice moment, too!

The accompanying DVD is unique -- it includes typical interviews with musicians on the CD, and an interesting master class given by Mulligan, but it also has a terrific resource for jazz aficionados and students: the DVD includes Mulligan's scores and parts, plus Mulligan's later Concert Jazz Band arrangements for some of the works on the CD,...

A Treasure to Keep
I have many Gerry Mulligan CDs but never miss an oppurtunity to add to the collection.
There are some unusual instrument line ups but the whole thing hangs together really well.
Such a mixture of styles, funk to a softer style of jazz.
The DVD is basically everything you wanted to know about Gerry his career and his insight into the music.
A collectors item.

Blues & Barrelhouse Piano

Best Instructional DVD on Blues on the market
This DVD is full of original content. No elementary stuff, like explaining 12 bar blues, blues scale etc. It jumps right into the middle and teaches you the hardest part after you develop some hand independance and learned the basic concepts: how to sound real bluesy. All songs on this DVD (each based on interesting bass line) are sort of generic, fit for a wide range of blues tunes. All very driving and encouraging your own musical ideas. So, by learning six songs you actually learn to play in several blues piano styles. The instruction style is very clear and to the point. Absolutely transparent even for a not native English speaker like me.
Conclusion: this DVD is a way ahead of those best on the market (by David Cohen and Dr John), however it is not for absolute beginner.

So Much Fun!
Ann Rabson's got a whole lot of soul in her! It's a lot of fun to sit by and play along to what she's got to offer. Buy this DVD!

Great video to learn some quick licks
Although the video is not made for advanced or pros, and I am talking as a teacher and advanced player I liike this video because it goes straight to the point with many left hand patterns and then fills them up with some right licks and scales.Very easy to follow and very fast to learn them. And it also gives you in total 6 styles to play, so after watching and playing it a few times you get to know some basics for 6 rock blues based styles.I recommend to anybody who wants to get some interesting licks and good left hand patterns to jam around

El CHAVO del OCHO!!!
Best mexican TV program. Eerybody in my family enjoy viewing this program good for adults and also kids from 1 year old .......

Very useful DVD for any user of Nikon D800/E
The previous reviewer, angry because of the broken case, wrote unfavorable review, however I have 100% different opinion - you really will learn a lot, including how to use all the menus, different shortcuts and very practical tips. Even if you do not have the previous DVD (with basics) you still can take advantage of it. I highly recommend it.

Great instructional DVD
It does what it is supposed to do - teaches you step ny step how to use the camera in the most efficient way through spoken and visula material. It does not contain any unecessary burden, jut essentials. Without any hesitation I recommend it.

I love this man!
He does NOT suffer fools gladly. He's so full of wit and wisdom. There needs to be someone like him on every police force. I wish more cops were like him. He gets to the bottom of things and he comes to collect, and he will collect. 400 homicide cases solved - IMPRESSIVE.

I Love Lucy: The Complete Fourth Season

Trip to California, Mothers-in-Law, the Brown Derby, Harpo
Over 50 years ago during the early years of broadcast television, the very inspired talents of Lucille Ball (1911-1989) and her then husband Desi Arnaz (1917-1986) were showcased on their hilarious television show "I Love Lucy". TV execs had initially rejected the plausibility of the show because of Desi and because they intended to tape the shows. However, thanks to the tireless efforts of Lucille Ball and Desi's obvious talents, the show first aired in 1951 and quickly became one of the most successful TV shows during all six of its regular seasons. As Lucy and Ricky Ricardo on "I Love Lucy", Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz were joined by William Frawley (1877-1966) and Viviane Vance (1909-1979) as their best-friends/apartment landlords of Fred and Ethel Mertz.

The fourth season of "I Love Lucy" that aired between 1954 and 1955 has 30 memorable episodes:

1. "The Business Manager": Ricky's hired business manager (Charles Lane) for Lucy's household budget only allows...

Uncut? Restored? Hmmmm...not quite.
Adding to what the previous reviewer said about picture quality, I too just watched "The Fashion Show" episode, and there is indeed a jerkiness to the picture quality in this episode. I thought I was seeing things at first, but I am glad it was not just my imagination. I don't think it necessary to put this season of 30 episodes on 6 discs, when the previous two seasons (containing more episodes) fit on 5 discs with excellent quality.

My BIG gripe with this set, though, is that at least four of the episodes were not restored to their original uncut length. Both "Tennessee Bound" and "L.A. at Last" had some dialogue in them, which remain missing in this set, even though the original middle break, and end logos of those episodes have been restored. Additionally, "Lucy Gets in Pictures" is missing a shot of Lucy and Ricky driving the Pontiac through the gates of M.G. M., while "First Stop" is missing a good minute of footage (an extra scene in the car, and a scene when they...

The Premiere Season
This is the season that "I Love Lucy" fans have been waiting for on DVD. California, here we come! The Ricardos and the Mertzs travel to the sunny town of Hollywood to persue Ricky's film star dream. The end result is some of Lucy's most hilarious and memorable moments.

In order to star in the upcoming mvie "Don Juan", Ricky is whisked off to California to set his sights on the silver screen, and of course, in tow, brings Lucy, Fred and Ethel. The writer, sensing a goldmine ahead, didn't rush the foursome out to the Golden State right away, but let the momentum build up. The pre-traveling episodes are as rich as the rest of them. A particular favorite is when Ricky buys the car they plan to drive out in and Lucy needs to learn to drive it. Another, Fred packing the car a little too full. Once on the road, the foursome experience many adventures along the way, including a revisit of the hilarious Tennesse Ernie Ford and a visit to Ethel's home town.

Once they...

Wrap Your Trouble In Dreams

Like Crack
It's cheap, disgusting, bad for your brain, but extremely addicting. Can't get enough of GALLERY GIRLS. Especially as a New Yorker, I found this show amazingly hilarious. This is not what the New York Art Scene is like, but who the hell cares? This is quality trash T.V.

More scripted 'reality'
Initially I was excited to watch this show because I typically love Bravo's scripted reality shows. I also love fine art and am entertained by hipsters. First its annoying the way Bravo attempts to interject these people into each others lives like "Oh hey, you work here and are on the same TV shows as me too?! CRAZY!" Second these girls are completely vapid. None of them seem offer anything to the art world except cronyism. I much prefer the rich girls because they are honest about their b.s. I really hope these people watch this show and begin to realize how fake and horrible they have become. I am sure there are real decent people under all the b.s. but my god they suck. I will keep watching this show just to watch the "poor" girls who are opening their gallery fail and unravel.

Has This Show Been Canceled Yet?
I was bored. Should have saved my $1.99. Do these girls (and yes, I say girls and NOT women) really think that they are all that? I don't think the reality of being a grown up has really hit them. They are 20 somethings acting like they are still in high school.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: The Complete Season 7

A Return to Form, Almost--And The Truth About Mac's Real Name
Like many fans, I was disappointed with Season Six--especially the first few episodes. Season Seven, however, brings the gang back to the simple banter that made them so funny in the first place. Sure, there is still the occasional slow episode--"Frank's Brother," for instance, which is told through so many flashbacks that it loses the "Sunny" feel--but overall, the quality control is strong this season. "The Gang Goes To The Jersey Shore" is laugh-out-loud funny in the same ways that some of Season Two's best episodes were funny, and "Frank's Pretty Woman" lets this season come out swinging with vulgarity ("She's a good hoo-er") and taboo subject matter. Another great offering from this season is--and I won't ruin it--the disclosure of Mac's real name. It's a payoff that was well worth the wait.

In Season Seven, the writers made a concerted effort--even more so than in season six--to "call back" to characters and situations from previous seasons. The results were mixed. On...

Great Start to the Season
This was a fantastic start to the season. Both my friend and I watched it together and we laughed the whole time. The part with the fake blood packets is priceless. I'm super excited to see the rest of the season.

It's Always Sunny is Back!
This episode has the gang doing exactly what they do best: be depraved, gross, getting into ridiculous hi-jinx, the return of crack for Dee and her brother, drunkenness, Mac's persistent belief in his super strength and best of all, spraying blood, which was good for Shakespeare and is great for this episode too.

You will not be disappointed getting this episode for $1.99. If you are a Sunny fan, then this is right up your alley.

See How Building the Ego Works

The best two hours of my study
Having worked with the course only six months, the DVD has opened more doors and understanding than any related material I've encountered out side of Gary Renards work. Well worth the money ...a gift to have come into my life experience.

Happiness Is Peanuts

Peanuts Classic
I love Peanuts! It's a series of features that we received sparingly on Irish TV, but the one I did catch as a kid stayed with me forever. It's great to get these collections together. I already had two of them, but the inclusion of the latest Happiness is A Warm Blanket and the extras made this a must-buy. The soundtracks alone transport me back to a more carefree time. Peanuts is brilliant. 'Nuff said.
I'd recommend this to all Peanuts devotees.

You have a 3-pack Fun Time Charlie Brown

The Dark Network Of Etemon

Love this show
I love this show and its so great to have on DVD. My only wish was that it had the Japanese language version as an option.

The good o'll days
Bought it for keepsakes and memories. definitely a youth's movie but I still love it! quality isn't as good as my memories recalled but what did I know about HD back then?

Digimon season 1
My son did an old puzzle at school and it was Digimon, he was very interested and wanted to watch it. I had a real hard time finding any episodes. There were none on Netflix but we finally found some on amazon but they were $2 an episode! Well he was hooked so I started researching a bit more and found this set, which saved me a ton of money! He has been nothing but thrilled with the set of season 1 and even uses the guide book that comes along with it! The one small downside was the case is a bit flimsy and came with a break and now only after a week the inside has broken. It still holds all the DVDs though!

Combat!: Fan Favorites (50th Anniversary)

Combat is great--this item is a rip-off
"Combat" is a great show and the episodes on this disc are the cream of the entire series and I loved them all. The problem is it turns out I already own these episodes because they provide no description of what the 20 episodes are and all of them have already been released. IF YOU OWN BEST OF THE SQUAD, BEST OF NEW REPLACEMENTS, BEST OF ESPIONAGE, BEST OF HANLEY, BEST OF SAUNDERS, you already have what's on this set like I do. The seller is ripping off the public by not listing the episodes so I'm giving fans of this series a heads up. What you basically get is the "Best of Episodes" in slim pack form which is great--if you don't already own these shows and ok if the seller told us that's what your getting--but they don't. If your gonna buy this set--buy it from importcds like I did--they rock as a seller.

Combat Series - Fan Favorites (50th Anniversary)
I grew up watching the Combat series on TV and it is amazing how many years ahead of its time it was. It takes you down to the human level of combat during World War II - the street fighting, hand-to-hand combat, and stress involved in facing danger and death on the battlefield. The acting is superb - they just don't make these nitty gritty type actors anymore. These guys all know and practice their craft fantastically. They make the most of the technology of their day. A must for all military veterans and those who enjoy war movies. Great value for the money. Buy this series - you will not be disappointed. Hard to stop watching once you start. Enjoy!

Sarge and Hanley and the squad still the best!
Where this set really shines is in showing how well Combat! portrayed regular guys just trying to survive the war. No glorious heros, in fact this set shows (in part) how much of a slog everyday life was -- punctuated by moments of sheer terror.

Why 4 stars and not 5? While I understand why the set wants to showcase some of the guest stars on one of the DVDs, it does so at the expense of leaving out several of Vic Morrow's, Rick Jason's and the other regulars best episodes.

Not to be missed: the episodes that Vic Morrow directed are motion-picture worthy.

Bones: The Complete Seventh Season [Blu-ray]

Booth & Bones Are Expecting! Plot Twist Reinvigorates the Show
This refreshingly *different* season of Bones is gearing up to be one of the series' best! It is just the reinvigoration the show needed!

Life has changed at the Jeffersonian since we last saw our favorite crime-solvers. After last season's pregnancy bombshell of an ender, we pick up with forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance Brennan entering her third trimester, hormones all over the place as she bumbles in that adorable way that only Brennan can into the frightening role of motherhood. As always, her partner FBI Agent Seeley Booth is there by her side, more loving and more happy than we've ever seen him. Having them together romantically (FINALLY), is a joy I'm still unable to get over :) It feels... natural. It almost makes you wonder, why wasn't it always this way? (Also makes you forget the angsty love triangle of season 6 ever even happened! Hannah who? ;p)

I think David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel slipped into this new relationship quite easily. What's...

A Season of Changes...
The seventh season of "Bones" finds forensic anthropologist Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan and her FBI partner Seeley Booth adjusting to a significant change in their relationship: the pending birth of a child, conceived late last season in a moment of shared grief over the death of a colleague. Bones remains stoically on the job at the Jeffersonian Institute and in the field despite her advancing pregnancy, while Booth will become increasingly frantic in his often misguided efforts to protect her. Series fans will be treated to the full humor of a lively debate over where to live and how to raise their child. The blessed event itself will have all the suspense that awkward timing in the middle of a tense case can give it.

The changes will ripple through the Jeffersonian forensic lab. Dr. Sweets gets increased field duty as a substitute partner for Booth, and cannot help psychoanalyzing everything. Bones' best friend Angela will attempt to prepare her for working...

What do you get when you cross new parenthood with a smart serial killer?
You get season 7 of "Bones".

While the season was only 13 episodes long, because of Emily Deschanel's pregnancy and Fox's desire to test "The Finder", it managed to cram in some huge changes - and big plotlines - into that short season.

With the start of the season, we saw Brennan and Booth both adjusting to their new life together, awaiting the birth of their child. We also saw them let go of the last vestiges of their single lives and find a ramshackle home (which, with Wendall's FAST off screen help!) to move into. With the birth of their daughter, Christine, came a new sense of family.

For many episodes, the family angle was played up. Some might even say it was played up *too much*, but with tonight's finale, I think there was a point to it, so I can understand the reasoning, even if I felt the season was drama light. Starting with "The Crack in the Code", we meet the likely reason for the emphasis on family. His name is Christopher Pelant, a...

The Ancient Rome Anthology

Review
A compilation of other History Channel DVD's (all of which I already have)...Not even in chronological order of events from
Roman Kingdom (omitted entirely) to Roman republic to Roman Empire, as an anthology should be...Nothing new in the way
of information compared to previous HC DVDs, but enjoyable just the same...Haphazard presentation of events distracting
for those without a background of Ancient Roman History...3 Star rating is a stretch, but enjoyed the "refresher course.",,
Could've been a lot better!....Glad I didn't pay retail price for something I already have.......LS

Okay, and as expected for a History Chanel Special
I bought this to show to middle school students when we did our unit on Ancient Rome. It has the typical amount of History Chanel sensationalism but still kept the kids informed. There were less topless statues than the Greece boxed set (my students will comment every time). If your using this with kids, you'll need to do a bit of explaining so they don't take every speculation as gospel, but still it did the job.

The definitive collection tells of Rome's rise and fall
By Jim Clark, publisher, Lee County Courier, Tupelo, Mississippi

Rome, like most ancient societies, is surrounded by much controversy by archaeologists as to when occupation began.
The Ancient Rome Anthology DVD set begins with Spartacus He was a Thracian leader of the slaves in the Third Servile War, a major slave uprising against the Roman Republic. Those familiar with Spartacus Starz premium cable show will also be familiar with two of the other leaders of the revolt, Crixus and Oenomaus. The documentary takes viewers through their many successful battles and the end, where Spartacus made a bargain with Cilician pirates to transport him and his men to Sicily. The pirates didn't show leaving the men trapped on the inlet.
One DVD tells of the importance of Julius Caesar as he transformed the republic into the Roman Empire. He also transformed Rome into an unmatched military power.
Constantine the Great was the first emperor to convert to Christianity. His...

The Who: Live in Texas 75

A fun show!
First off to some who are griping about the audio and picture quality this was filmed in 1975 and NEVER intended for official release. It was the arenas two camera system so yes its blurry and tends to focus on the front of the band mainly Roger and Pete and less on Moonie and the OX. I deduct a star for that but its the limitations of 1970's filming. Once you get over that its a pretty good show. Although not a LEEDS or even Kilburn performance this shows a band clearly having fun and glad to be touring America again. I for one am glad I bought the DVD. I tip my hat off to the people who made sure this actually got filmed warts and all. I consider it a ticket to the past that I am glad to have.

Don't Hesitate
This show has been available on bootleg for many years and now has an official release. The picture quality is marginally better than the bootleg version, but the sound has been improved considerably by Jon Astley's restoration and the 'missing' audio from Squeeze Box has been reinstated. Nevertheless, the picture and sound quality are inferior to modern standards and the camera work is basic to say the least. However, it must be remembered that this is a historic record of the band's classic line up in full flight from one of the strongest periods for live performances in its career. The technical quality of the recording shows its limitations, but the performance is a real treat. This should be one of those DVDs that is played to show anyone unfamiliar with The Who's work just what the fuss was all about and why they were often rated as the best live act of their era.

At the top of their game
One of the best Who concerts on video. They were
clearly at the top of their game.Keith was showing no signs that he was in decline,
and Roger and Pete sounded great vocally .
The mix and remastering are superb and a welcome addition to the Who catalog.
Buy it!

Greatness is Built On the Fight

Super cute motivating show for my little girl
My daughter is 8 and involved in competitive cheerleading. This show was great fun to watch it got her very excited about cheer. Also she is a flyer, and really enjoyed watching the stunting and routines. We will probably keep this as a cheer team sleepover movie :)
My husband and I got a kick trying to guess what inappropriate outfit one of the moms would wear in each episode.

wonderful!
I love this show! Its great! I really hope they do a second season! I grew so attached to all of the people on this show! I really want to see this team succeed!!

Great show
I really enjoyed this show and am very disappointed there are no more seasons after this. I ordered this after it popped up as a recommendation after I watched dance moms. If you like cheesy guilty pleasure shows like that, you will get hooked.

Entertaining Ensemble + Insider Perspective = Fun Comedy
Ok. I'll fess up. I'm a political junkie. And a huge John Goodman fan.

And Alpha House feeds that beast.

Very well done - there are layers to this. Watch the staffers. Entire cast plays off of each other - wonderfully. The obsession with the mobile phones. Bill Murray and Colbert cameos.

I did not see that Gary Trudeau (Doonesbury fame) wrote/created this until the end credits. But yay for that.

This show has legs, and I want to see more of it. Highly recommended.

Want to see more!
Watched with my spouse after the kids went to bed and were laughing out loud. Smart, funny, and loving John Goodman's character! Can't wait to see more episodes (I keep checking back to see if a new one has been posted)!

Witty, Intelligent, and Funny as hell
Finally a show that makes politics more accessible by removing the "smoke and mirrors" people have about it these days. Although this show obviously puts a comedic twist to the life of a senator, it's still nice to get some political knowledge from it, especially the "social aspect" of how Senators are just like everyone else, only difference is his/her job. This show is going to BLOW UP and I'm thinkin it'll be the next "Office" with fan's quoting funny scenarios and dialogues.

Pilot

Fun and fills an important gap in kids' TV
What a great show! Preschoolers have a lot of educational TV options out there but there's less and less educational stuff for older kids. This really should be on TV. It was also great seeing non-stereotypical characters too.

However, there was one thing that bothered me. Nick correctly calls the robots "robots", but Anne corrects him and calls them "androids", and they're referred to like that for the rest of the show. Androids are a very specific type of robot that closely resembles a human to the point of being nearly identical (like the replicants in Blade Runner). Anne's creations, even Pal, are very much robots and not at all androids (actually the pidgeon is technically a cyborg, but let not add any more confusion). That might sound like a minor detail but since this is supposed to be an educational show it was annoying to see them get the basics wrong, just like if Sesame Street messed up the alphabet!

Anne-tastic!
Both my 5 and 7 year old girls loved this. When they watched the preview and saw that their would be apps to go along with the shows they flipped out and thought that was the best thing ever. I would surely pay for apps that go along with the show for the their kindles.

Not Bad But Needs to Explain The Science a Little Bit Better
This scientific based kids show is pretty cool. I am not a kid but decided to try out a few of Amazon's shows. The art was decent and the tone of the show seemed to fit the subject matter quite nicely. The only thing I would recommend is that if you are trying to make this show stand out among the other simplistic, air-headed cartoons, I would take the time to explain the science behind Anne's experiments. The whole pilot revolved around Anne getting vinegar but not once did she explain why she needed it. Since you are trying to extend science to kids, you should actually make this show scientific. We never found out what she was mixing the vinegar with so in the end this show just seemed like an average cartoon. I actually sat there expecting to learn something. You should explain that Anne wanted to mix vinegar with baking soda to cause a chemical reaction that would cause both ingredients to react and explode. What appears to be one reaction is actually two, happening in...

Biting Satire on the Media
The Onion has produced short clips of biting satire, but previously when they tried to make that into longer-form media it didn't quite work. This time it really did. The series wonderfully satirizes the mindlessness and corporate ownership of the media, and it has something to say about overly sentimental TV soap operas too. In short, this will entertain you and leave you with something to think about. Well done.

Hilarious and Refreshing
I hope this gets picked up. It's like a fake NewsRadio meets every ridiculously overhyped drama on television. So many funny lines, I lost count of my favorites only two minutes in.

The Onion just one uped The Onion
All the madness and paper cut sharp wit you've come to expect of The Onion comes fast, furious & gonzo in this reavealing expose of how Onion news gets to your screen. The hyper caffeinated energy drink of political satire.
